Turkey Day

Yes, we are now RV owners. We finally found an RV that has everything we need, bunks for the kids, lightweight towing, storage and tvs!

MISC. Stuff

Hayley all dressed up for her party at school. They couldn't wear costumes but they could dress up in orange and black.

My class dressed up for their party.

Hayden decorating a treat bag for his party. He got to dress up.

All of us ready for the Screaming 5K run through the cemetery. Mom is a cat, Hayley is goth, Dad is Butch, the camper host (notice his litter gitter tool and on his hat is a Cowan Lake patch), me as popcorn and Hayden is just in the picture. He didn't do the 5K. Hayley and Mom ran it in 39 min. Dad and I walked 2 miles in 39 min.

Cowan Lake Fall Campout 2009

Butch, the Camper Host, stops by for dinner.

These are 3 campsites across from us. They had a haunted house that went behind their campsite.

Hayden and the bloody doctor.

One of the many planned games. Poor Blackie. He is an old horse that is bungee corded to a wagon. Some wierd guy is pulling the wagon while the kids try and lasso the horse. I tried to give Hayley 20 bucks to lasso the guy but she wouldn't do it.

Skye the drug sniffing police dog. First she gave a demo then the cop took her around the campground to do a drug search of the campsites.

Party Poopers!

Hayden officates this wedding.

Don't ask.

Hayley Gothed up ready for trick or treat. Notice the blue tarp. It was freezing cold that night. Notice the tablecloth.

Hayden ready for trick or treat.

Obama stopped by to push his health care reform.

Pumpkin Patch

Hayley poses on the pretty orange pumpkins.

Hayden thinks he can fit this into the wagon.

That's a much better size.

Hayden with his treasure!

Hayley pets the dog named "Hailey" at the pumpkin patch.

Hayden's favorite toy.

Hayden decides to venture behind the pumpkin patch to this barn that holds machinery and such. I chased him back there and this guy working there is like, "I don't think there is much of interest to the little lad...why is he back here". And I look over and there is a bobcat, several snow plows, an old junky car, several trailers with hitches and a 4 wheeler.

This is what the rest of the kids were interested in at the pumpkin patch.

A young Milk Snake.

Riding bikes with grandma on Labor Day Camp Out.

Grandma and Bryce enjoying the campsite.

Hayden doing his usual digging in the dirt. About 6 o'clock that evening, a skunk climbed from behind that tree where Hayden was playing.

Jason finds a frying pan for the campsite. It is big enough to accommodate his weekend breakfast of pancakes, sausage and eggs.

Hayley poses in front of the grizzly bear @ Bass Pro Shops.

As if! A pink 4 wheeler?

Jason and Hayden find their next purchase.

Hayden rides his bike at my school playground while Hayley has cheerleading practice.

Tanking up diet coke before beditme.

Blog posts are becoming less and less frequent. My school schedule this year is really tough. My kids come to school at 9 then have a 30min. special (gym or music) then we go to lunch at 11. My afternoon is super long! I am so tired after school is dismissed! I have 18 kids and 4 of them w/ special needs. 2 children in my class were adopted from Russia when they were toddlers. The speak English fluently and socialize nicely but need extra assistance in several areas. Hayden and Hayley both have nightly homework plus cheerleading practice 1 night a week, jazz class 1 night a week plus Girl Scouts 2 times a month. We went camping over Labor Day and have another one planned for October for the huge FALL CAMP OUT. Nothing new with the house. Several showings and interest but nothing in the way of offers. We are working w/ our builder on house plans and options but will not start building until our home is sold.

Last Days of Summer

Hayden enjoys playing with my retro Fisher Price school and farm house. We've been listening to the Little House Books on cd in the car. He is acting out Carrie, Laura, Mary, Miss Beadle, Almanzo and Nellie Olsen.

Hayley helped me with my room.

Look what Hayden found in the basement! He told Jason he saw a "big, green" snake in the basement. After looking for it, Jason found it, hit it on the head w/ a piece of wood then bagged it up so I could see it. THANK GOD I was not home when this all happened. I was at teacher inservice. Hayley proudly shows off the little gardner snake. I am totally grossed out that this was in our house. We do not know when it got in or how long it has been there!
